Patrons of the Camden Twp. Library can now benefit from our newest service - Woodlands Downloadable Library!

This is a website powered by OverDrive that gives patrons in good standing access to 100’s of downloadable ebooks and audiobooks.

Woodlands Downloadable Library

This is the name of our new OverDrive service.  We will be going live with this service within the week if all goes well.  We are working out the last of the bugs now and hope to launch this service on March 31st.

Woodlands Downloadable Library will be available to all Camden Twp. Library patrons in good standing.  Patrons will be able to download full copies of both audiobooks (spoken words) and Ebooks (written words) to their personal computers, smart phones, MP3 players or other portable devices.  We have joined 18 other libraries to create this service and to offer as many title choices as possible.  We are excited to offer this service and hope our patrons will enjoy the convenience of downloading their favorite titles.

Free Resources through MeL

If you haven’t checked out the Michigan Electronic Library at www.mel.org , you are missing out on a ton of great resources.  These are all free to Michigan Residents and can be accessed from any computer.  (You will need to enter your MI driver’s license number as proof that you are a MI resident.) The Camden Twp. Library is also registered with the Michigan Electronic Library, so you can access MeL through our webpage.  The MeL Databases include great student helps, book reviews, genealogy information, Chilton online, and practice tests for things like GED or Fire Fighter (and many more).  That’s just a small sample of what MeL offers!

MeLCat is our State-wide Interlibrary Loan Program.  This is free to patrons in good standing at the Camden Twp. Library.  You can borrow items from across our great state from any computer - we are connected to over 300 Michigan libraries including: Public Libraries, School Libraries & College Libraries.  If you haven’t tried MeLCat yet, stop in and let us show you how simple Interlibrary Loaning can be - you will be “ILLing” on your own in no time!
